This class is available at sliding scale. Please READ THESE GUIDELINES prior to registration.

Please join Katie Chirgotis of Eothen for a flower arranging workshop focusing on the sultry, velvety, tonal Hellebore. Often called the Lenten Rose, these winter lovers remind us that even in the coldest of months - beauty abounds.

Together we'll create a series study using several small ceramic vases that you can use in a narrative, or separately. We'll cover the basics of prep, composition, care, and things to look out for when gardening and harvesting this special perennial.

Cost of the class includes instruction and all materials (vase, flowers, snips). Registration is limited and accessible to all levels, with sliding scale available, (A / $150, B / $133, C / $122). Please keep in mind that sliding scale is primarily intended for BIPOC, the queer community, and marginalized folx so they can gain access to new resources. We know you'll select what feels appropriate with integrity and intention.
Looking forward to hosting you in our first ever flower class in the Circle!

Glorious Narcissus
Sunday, February 5, 2023
5:30-7pm
$175 / 155 / 133

A flower arranging workshop with Katie Chirgotis of Eothen which focuses on the tender, brilliant, welcome of harbingers of warming soils. Narcissus!

Together we'll create a sweet arrangement for the home focusing on petite bulb flowers of all kinds - such as Daffodil, Jonquil, Muscari...and maybe a few other wild guys :) INCLUDING Kaysea, farmer and steward of Flowers by the Sea. Kaysea took up the mantle of care for the plants championed by Bill Welch, fondly known as Bill the Bulb Baron. Kaysea will be bringing in some incredible, rare varieties of flowers and bulbs and will speak on their planting, cultivation and care. A portion of the class will be donated to Kaysea's care, as she's recently been in a car accident.

Cost of the class includes instruction and all materials (vase, flowers, snips). Registration is limited and accessible to all levels, with sliding scale available, (A / $175, B / $155, C / $133). Come enjoy the glory of these sunny stems.

Ranunculus Riot
Saturday, March 11, 2023
5:30-7pm
$150 / 133 / 122

Please join Katie Chirgotis of Eothen for a flower arranging workshop focusing on everyone's juicy, late Winter/early Spring favorite - the Ranunculus. They deluge us in a wide range of gorgeous colors, with layered petals that get better with age.

Together we'll design an arrangement in-the-round, meaning it is meant to be viewed on all sides. This can be a little challenging as we aren't going into "ball o' flowers" territory. Rather, we'll be working with dynamic shapes to create ins and outs to keep things interesting.

Cost of the class includes instruction and all materials (vase, flowers, snips). Registration is limited and accessible to all levels, with sliding scale available,  (A / $150, B / $133, C / $122.
This will be the final class in our winter series, so be sure not to miss out so you'll be ready for our Spring magic in a month's time.
