Our second in our Wild Foods salon series!
Join Emily & JT of Kin and Kitchen for an evening of California Bay Laurel lore and appreciation. We’ll sample bay nut snacks including bay nut molé tacos, truffles, and a special cocktail as we delve into the evolution, ecology, medicine, and cultural significance of California Bay Laurel while reviewing culinary uses, identification and conservation.
Emily is Kin and Kitchen co-founder and head chef. She has graduate training in ecological anthropology, and studied woodland foraging and coevolutionary processes between plants and people in Chile, Mexico and California.
JT is Kin and Kitchen co-founder, an experienced forager, cook, outdoor skills instructor, and farmer. He has extensive training in natural history and crafting with wild-harvested, including pottery he makes from naturally occurring micaceous clay.

Value of this workshop is $45 for one or $80 for a pair of registration. This value includes 1.5 hours of deliciously feral snacks, education and take-home collateral.
